Hemann honored for service to cooperative system

Anthony “Tony” Hemann has been honored by CHS Inc., the nation’s leading farmer-owned cooperative, for contributing more than 25 years of service to strengthening and growing the cooperative system. He is general manager of SilverEdge Cooperative in Edgewood, Iowa.

“Tony’s experience and leadership are an inspiration to others within the cooperative system,” said Jay Debertin, president and CEO of CHS. “He has demonstrated a true dedication to helping today’s farmers and ranchers grow, while also strengthening his cooperative and community to serve future generations.”

Hemann has worked in the cooperative system for 41 years, including serving as general manager for three decades.

CHS honored the newest members of the Cooperative Leadership Circle during a special ceremony at the CHS Annual Meeting, held in Minneapolis on Dec. 5-6. Since 1973, CHS and its predecessors have honored more than 1,200 cooperative general managers and CEOs for their long service.

The Cooperative Leadership Circle recognizes those cooperative leaders who have served 25 or more years in the cooperative system, including a minimum of 10 years as manager.

Congratulations Tony!
